Bohumil Sedláček
29.5.1931, Třemošná - 6.4.2016, PlzeňHe graduated from the Faculty of Education of the Charles University in Prague. Since 1954 he has been a high school teacher, later a university lecturer. In 1986 he became Associate Professor at the Department of Art Education at the Faculty of Arts in Pilsen, obtained a doctorate in philosophy and became a candidate for science. In independent artwork, he focused mainly on landscape painting and used graphics. Since 1961 he has regularly exhibited at teachers' exhibitions, in spite of many independent exhibitions. He has been the author of many period posters and, for example, the lapel badge Czechoslovak Society of Geography (1938). He died in April 2016 in Pilsen. The exhibition "IN MEMORIAM" was held in June and July 2016 in the Jiří Trnka Gallery.
