Václav Benedikt

Václav Benedikt is a Pilsner painter and graphic artist, he is one of the main representatives of lyrical abstraction and analytical painting. From 1978 to 1984 he studied privately by Professor Jiří Patera. This teaching has significantly influenced his future work. He participated in many group exhibitions, competitions and art shows not only in our country but also abroad. He works with architects to design interiors of major buildings. For his creative work in the field of painting he was awarded the prize of the Masaryk Academy of Arts in 1995. In 2000 he won the Franz Kafka medal from the European Circle. He is a member of the Union of Fine Artists of the Pilsen region.
