Jiří Špinka

Jiří Špinka graduated from the School of Arts Crafts and the Faculty of Education of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, specializing in art education. Jiří Špinka's artistic activities include restoration, sculpture, carving and medal. Špinka regularly presents his works at the joint exhibitions of the Union of Artists of the Pilsen Region (since 1992) as well as on individual exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad. His kinetic reliefs are a permanent exhibition at Červený Hrádek Castle near Chomutov. Important achievements include: Reconstruction of the plaque at Švehlův monument in Chválenice, medal for the anniversary of the West Bohemian Museum in Pilsen, Medal of the Jewish Museum in Hartmanice, commemorative medal for opening of the exhibition of the historical armory of the West Bohemian Museum in Pilsen and others.
Jiří Špinka is the author of the commemorative medal for the 120th anniversary of the West Bohemian Museum in Pilsen, he created a relief decoration of bells for the church of St. Martin in Chválenice and reliefs on the bells of Bartoloměj and Hroznata.
