Ondřej Roubík

After graduating from the Private High School of Arts and Crafts Zámeček in Plzeň, he continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in the ateliers of V. Kokoli and Jiří Petrbok. In 2011-2012 he studied at the Royal Drawing School in London. He is dedicated to free art, his main techniques being painting and drawing. He exhibits his works both in the Czech Republic and abroad. His works are represented in private collections in the Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, France, England, USA and Canada.
Thematically, Ondřej Roubík's work focuses on portraiture, portrait and figure. Realistic characters are captured at some point. It is an intense situation of inner experience, mood, dreaming, immersion. The images sound silent, only a slight gesture reveals the emotions of the person being portrayed. The atmosphere of the painting is suitably complemented by usually darker colors and flowing painter's handwriting, the painter dims and dims the light. The painter lives and works alternately in Prague and Mallorca.
