Gabriela Nováková-Varmužová
13. 4. 1964, OstravaShe has exhibited independently since 1983, at first she exhibited in the Ostrava Region. She presented her works in Regensburg in 1997 and 2002, in Prague (2000), in Plzeň (2000 and 2004), in Domažlice (2001) and in Vsetín (2001). She has participated in a number of collective exhibitions both at home and abroad (in Canada, Belgium, Germany or Norway). She is the creator of a few public works (such as relieves in the entrance hall and children’s dining room of Darkov Spa dating from 1994, a relief in the entrance hall of the Czech National Bank in Ostrava from 1995, a relief in the short stay hospital for mentally retarded children in Prague-Žižkov from 1996 or the visual layout of the entrance hall and rehabilitation spaces in the same facility from 1999). In Plzeň she presented her works at the 2nd and 4th year of the Central European Drawing Biennial, where she received the Prize of the Mayor of the City of Plzeň. She exhibited independently in the Jiří Trnka Gallery in 2000 and in 2004 she participated in the exhibition “Czech and German Towns” (Deutsche und tschechische Städte) held in the University Gallery in Plzeň.
