Jan Wenig

15. 8. 1910, Mrákov u Domažlic – 2. 5. 1972, Plzeň

He exhibited individually from the year 1960 in Prague. He had a series of the individual exhibitions in Pilsen and at Pilsen Region. He took part at collective, especially member exhibitions of the Union of West Bohemia Artists and the Union of Czech Artists. He presented his artworks with the Contact group at the years 1963 – 1969 in Pilsen and in Germany at the year 1969. Jan Wenig was an important author of the exhibition Cubism Responses in Pilsen (the Gallery of Pilsen City, 2001, catalogue).
